4.6L Windsor
This is in regards with whether or not a 5.4 will drop into a '08 STX. I cant really see any reason why it wouldnt but I want to know for sure. This is my first truck and the only experience I have as far as replacing motors is on a 95 Olds. And I just dropped the exact same engine back into it.
On a side note. What type of work, if possible, would be expected if I wanted to put a 6.2L BOSS in there instead of a 5.4L. Will there be issues alligning the torque converter and the flywheel. Will the 6.2L still use a 4 speed auto or will it be a 5 speed auto?
Lastly, if I come off sounding like an idiot, its because I am. Everything I know in regards to working on cars/trucks is self taught. And quite frankly I dont have anyone to teach me.
