Windsor is a push rod motor, Romeo is the new engine's. 4.6 except for the mustang is a 2 valve, doesnt matter what year truck you have.

The only truck to get the 3V 4.6 so far is the sport trac.

i have 2 07s. one with a 4.6 the other a 5.4. The 4.6 has 35s on it and pulls great once i modified the intake alittle. I previously owned a 02 4.6 that pushed out 300 hp just by adding duals and modifying the intake. Havent checked the 07s yet but they are monsters in my opinion. and the 5.4 is averaging 17.3 mpg in mixed travels. and im not gentle with the throttle. Only mod on the 5.4 is the intake. I really need duals on it but im trying ot make it into a sleeper. I love shutting down these wanna be rednecks. especially the young studs that think their Bowties are BAD.

Default my 5.4

I've got a 5.4 in my 99 EXpedition 4x4 I went through the motor and installed new pi heads, and mustang gt cams... and let me tell you that thing will scare you if you don't watch yourself. I rebuilt it and then my wife drove it while I was in Iraq. She drives her 07 escape most of the time.. the expy has a 3 in body lift and 33x12.50x16.5 on centerline wheels.. she got in it the other day and when she came home she was like WOW I forgot how fast that thing is. We had two families in it and went to do a u turn one night and I hopped on it... till the rear tried coming around the front. It pulled 21 mpg in town...and running 82 the other weekend it's reading 16-17 mpg on the freeway. don't know the 0-60... but it'll surprise most trucks and some cars out there... fast as crap for a 7700 pound truck

I love my 4.6 in my '03. It's not outrageously powerful, but it purrs and has FORD on it. That's enough for me.

I just got out of a '95 Dakota with a Magnum 318 in it. That was a tough and powerful motor as well.

But Ford has it all where the Dakota just had it in a few places.
