Default 300 and 302

I have a stock 1993 f150 with a 300 in it, and I was wondering could I switch that out with the 302 with no problems?
Or would it have a problem with the transmission or lining up?

Yes you can swap it without any problem with mateing the trans, but you would need to swap the harness and computer also.

transmissions all fit. need new motor mounts, and engine harness with PCM. it will take some work but it can be done.

Alright good, that's what I was hoping, no more worries about finding a motor, and I'll be back on the road soon! With some added horsepower none the less.

shoot in this part of the country those 300's got a good reputation... I knew a guy once who built a gm 250 straight six. he had a cam made for it and he was getting some pretty good hp out of it. it would run with a stock 350. and you may ask why not just run a 350.. well the fun of making something do what it aint made for ...lol

Yeah, they do have a very good reputation. They are very tough and durable, I hydro-locked mine 3 times before it messed up even one piston, so I know how good they are first hand, I wish I could find another one but so far I can only find a 302.
