Default 2014 Gear Swap to OEM 4.10's

New here... Just bought a 2014 FX4. Planning on Fox 2.0 shocks with 35x12.5x20 tires. Also planning on a gear swap to 4.10. I am want to use Ford OEM gears to better my chances of avoiding gear whine.
Here are the part numbers I came up with for the ring & pinion sets:

Front8.8: OEM 8L3Z3222A
Rear 9.75: OEM AL3Z4209E

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kip

What gears are in those trucks I have a 2011 platinum 6.2 with 3.73 and I run 34s with no issue and a tune from 5 star

I purchased these gear sets from a Ford parts deal off of this forum. He says that they are both genuine Ford parts. I havent received them yet... I paid right around $450.00 for both sets.

Let us know how it goes. I may be doing a swap in the future and staying OEM seems like a good idea when possible. Granted, I did Motive's on my last truck and had no issues, but 4.56's weren't an OEM option

So... I received my gearsets. As promised, they appear to be genuine Ford Mo Co parts. However, I have to say I was very disappointed to see "Made in Taiwan" stamped on the side of the box.

Realistically, I guess I shouldn't have expected the parts to be made in the US. It's ironic that we read so much about cheap Chinese gear sets, yet when you buy OEM parts they still are made overseas. I'm sure they'll be fine but it's just irritating.

I had the gear sets installed today by a guy here in Tulsa. He charged me $600.00 for the job. I am happy to report that there is no gear whine to be heard at all.
So, in total, the project cost me around $1300.00
In my book it is well worth the money when installing 35's

Gears : $450.00
Misc install parts: $250.00
Labor: $600.00
