The M5r2 4x4 in my 04 Heritage needs the 4th gear synchro and an input shaft bearing. I havent been able to find a good manual online, does anyone have a PDF Copy they could send me? My cousin and I are thinking about rebuilding mine. I have also seen SP Precision has one re-manufactured for $695 with a $250 core charge, does anyone have any experience with their transmissions?. My dad had a Jasper Automatic Installed in his 96 F-250, but to my knowledge Jasper only sells to a shop that will install it in the vehicle and I'm doing this job myself. Any suggestions? A shop local to me quoted me $600 just in labor to rebuild mine and another shop quoted as much as $2800 and would charge $125 to look at it and give me an exact price.

I'm surprised if you can't find the parts for this. Just did a quit search for m5r2 rebuild parts and a lot of sources came up. I would suggest though that if you going that far in to the transmission, rebuild the entire transmission since you're going to have it apart. The few parts you're asking about will also probably cost 1\3 of an entire packaged kit anyway.

No, I can find parts for the transmission, I was wanting a copy of a rebuild manual. I will probably end up getting a rebuild kit though, like you said if I'm that far into it I might as well replace it all.
