There come a point when you have to look at a Thread & decide...Is it worth it anymore?
Does it serve any real purpose. RRSkinner's statements & the responses almost seem scripted at this point. Nothing new, same stuff over & over & over again. Even any redeeming entertainment value is packing it's **** & pretty much out the door. Just an observational commentary at this point, but seriously, is this Thread worth continuing?

As for RRSkinner I have no idea what possesses him keep returning to this Thread.

yes . Why do u feel the need to go around deleting posts and ending threads? Everyone is an adult here , so what's wrong with letting people talk, or bs a little? Because you've had enough?

You don't have a clue about moderating. That's understandable coming from you. If you'll notice I stated I was making an observational comment regarding the Thread, that is all. Furthermore, If you have an issue w/ myself or any of the Moderators here, I suggest you take it up w/ our administrator. However for someone who's on the verge of yet another vacation for multiple member complaints on multiple Threads for trolling, good luck w/ that.

How? It is faster and gets better MPG than any engine with comparable
power specs. (If you think 5.0 you're wrong)

How many people use their pickup as a pickup? Same principle applies.

Just goes to show that people with a bigger, less powerful engine wanna play catch up all the time. Quit comparing the 5.0 and the EB, compare the 6.2 and EB instead. But then there wouldn't be anything to argue about anymore now would there. Trying to explain your choice in engine when all you do is make yourself look like someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way. <--(A little Mod edit help there)
5.4 FTW

Mine is heavy too, 6200# last time I checked. But I get 4-5 MPG better than my old 03 SCrew, I'll take that

I don't really have time to address all of your quotes. Taking them out of context is kind of a chick move. You ecoboosters keep saying I am wrong, but all of the experts agree with me:

1. You are never going to get your money back.
2. The gas savings are minimal--if any
3. For most people the V8 is a better choice
4. The bid advantage is towing.

One guy was bragging about the trill of being pushed back into his seat. I get it and have the same feeling. I would challenge you to put in ear plugs, blind fold and ride in both. I wonder how many people could tell. Who know's the song? "Put in your ear plugs. Put on your eye-shades. You know where to put the cork."

Anyhow, there is only one reason the 5.0 has less power than ecoboost and that is because Ford manipulated it that way. Why? Comon--money! They are making a lot more money on ecoboost. Please read consumer reports.

Don't see how addressing each point is taking it out of context and a chick move. suit yourself though.

1. Noone ever said everyone would get their money back, that's up to each person.
2. Again, quit comparing it to the 5.0! Compare it to the 6.2 as that is the power class it is in.
3. No, for most people a car is a better choice. But this is America, land of the free and we can do what we want. If someone wants to spend more money, then so be it. You're not the god of saving money like you believe you are.
4. Never knew there was a bid advantage in towing but I guess we should take your word for it.

Do you run your life by what Consumer Reports says?

Logic and RRSkinner go together like North Korea and fat people

As it stands, the resale value of my 2 year old truck beats the equivalent 5.0 resale value by the same amount as the price premium new. At the moment, I break even not including any fuel savings.

5%.

Is this the cam-in-block, pushrod, 2 valve, distributor'd v8 in your 2011 that you talked about, or the Coyote? You need to clarify this statement.

No, you don't have the same feeling. 570 ft-lb >> 380 ft-lb. If you can't feel that difference, then I feel sorry for you.

Or, could it be that adding that power up top (a la Mustang) would sacrifice even more torque down low, giving it a bigger disadvantage in a truck application vs the Ecoboost, 5.7 iForce, and Hemi? Ah, there's that pesky torque issue that you keep avoiding. The Ecoboost beats the 5.0 by 100 ft-lb in the 2-3000 rpm range.

You mean the same Consumer Reports article that you said included impossible data?
