2005 F150 No Power
I have a 2005 F150 FX4 with a 5.4 liter. It has no power as compared to other F150's and is horrible a towing. I do have 33" tires on the truck but that is only about 1" over stock. At hwy speeds, 70 mph, the truck is laboring and not wanting to pull & the fuel economy is never over 13 mpg. I have a programer, cold air intake & exhaust but to no improvement. Any help will be appreciated.

forced induction is the only logical solution to your problem. the truck might seem like it has no power do to the slightly larger tires but you shouldve picked up about 50-60 hp with your setup. im running cai and high flow throttle body on my '07 5.4 and i feel the extra 25-30 hp i picked up. you can put cams, brian crower makes some, comp cams, and crane cams as well.

Are you kidding me? My 04 at 70 will fly up to 110mph. All stock except exhaust, Think maybe there is a problem with getting 13mpg? I would think so! Forced induction is not the answer perhaps fixing the problem would certainly change his towing issue. The 5.4L has plenty of sack to pull.

Sounds like there is something going on. Any weird noises, backfires, smoke, etc? You may have an overly restrictive catalytic converter, or muffler, or clogged fuel filters. .. maybe even your chip has you running way too rich. Something is awry.

What do you have for gears?? Any check eng light, sounds like maybe a fuel pressure issue but the should set a frp sensor code.. If you have a scan tool drive it and monitor the pressure.. What do you have for an air filter?? seen some k&n's over oiled and soaked the maf so it doesnt give a good reading
