'08 FX2 Sport test drive
I just did a test drive of the 2008 FX2 Sport. It had a 5.4 V8, 4-speed automatic. All in all, it seemed a bit sluggish and it made a slight whining noise when coasting under light acceleration. Is this normal? I like the truck a lot, I just don't want to buy a lemon. Thanks for any feedback.

I bought an 08 FX2 last weekend, not sluggish, but that is a perception depending on what else you drive. My on truck was a 95 C1500 350 with a 5-spd, it felt much faster off the line than the FX2.
I've also never noticed any whining noise.

I just bought one last week, and tonight i noticed a slight whinning noise from under hte hood, sounds almost like air intake (in a way). sounds like its comming from around the fan area but not super sure. Im gonna keep an ear on it and see it if changes and take it in to see what the dealer says. Mine does not seem sluggish either,btw.
