2010 F150 4.6L 247,xxx miles
I know, crap load of miles...bought it used from a salesman of some sort...but I've put 25,xxx on it...
Issue:
Was driving today and heard what I'm guessing are the valves rattling...heard it right after I purchased it over a year ago. Run '93 octane in it every other fill up and it seems to do away with the rattle...but I filled up with '93 Friday...
1. while driving today the sound came back,
2. I arrived at my location,
3. pulled into a parking lot, put it in park,
4. it sounded as if was going to starve...
5. RPM's dropped,
6. tapped the gas pedal, it went back to normal sounding...
on the way home it rattled a few more times...
no oil leaks, fluids are fresh, regular oil changes, thoughts?

If you have a code reader that does live data, you could check to see if fuel pressure is dropping off. Fuel pressure sensor or fuel pump would be my guess. The fuel pumps on these are variable pressure which is why I am thinking pressure sensor.
