vin v versus vin 5 differences?

Default vin v versus vin 5 differences?
Replacing my 07 5.4 flex vin V engine. What are the differences between the two long blocks vin 5 vs. vin v? Wouldn't the flex vin V just be a difference is intake, computer..etc...? I would think the basics would be the same(block, internals) Anyone know?
