Fuel Injection cleaners/additives, and oil additives
What's your favorite? Why?
My Ford F-150 XLT 2000 4x4 V8 5.4 liter is running a bit rough, shakes at idle. No misfires, no codes, no vacuum leaks, no issues that I can find. 178000 miles. Engine rebuilt in 2011, tranny was rebuilt in September.
I use Lucas fuel injector cleaner at every full tank. Thinking about using their oil stabilizer my next oil change, read a couple reviews of happy customers with the same issue. Looking for opinions.
What say you?

Fuel: Top Tier gases, preferably BP, Shell, and Sunoco. See www.toptiergas.com
Fuel system cleaner: Techron, Redline S-1, Gumout with Regane.
^ Why, both? Polyetheramine content (the only true fuel system cleaner).
Oil: Kreen.
^ Why? Results proven over and over (pictures of results on other forums available upon searching), slow dissolve rather than risking breaking off big chunks of crap and having them get lodged somewhere, actual petroleum sludge dissolving properties because it's a petroleum project (as listed on the MSDS).

I have used Lucas fuel system cleaner for 35 years... never had an injector problem.. I do buy cheap gas too... agree with using top tier gasoline and you would not need to use it...

Had clogged injectors on a 400hp 85 IROC-Z I built. Used STP with only a minor improvement. Followed up with Lucas, no change at all. Followed that with Techron, huge difference!!!!!
