Supercharger pulley
Hiya chaps!!! I'm new on hear and need some advice please!! I would like to change the pulley on my Harley Davidson truck I have been told its a 3.25 and the lightning has a 2.93, by changing it dose it cause any problems?? I know you need a special puller to remove the old pulley but how do you fit the new one??? Thanks in advance!!!

the smallest pulley for the eaton is a 2.76. on the lightning it only adds 1 or 2 lbs of boost. so start with a 4 or 6 lb lower pulley. the lower pulley also makes a lot more tq per lb of boost too.

I would leave the upper alone, a larger pulley on the supercharger can actually be a good thing, larger pulley means there's more area of contact for the belt and less chance of belt slip. If you want to up the boost replace the lower pulley. On Lightnings and I would think the supercharged HDs, they can handle a bump of 2lbs of boost on the factory tune. Anything more than a 2lb increase you need to retune the PCM so it can add more fuel, adjust the timing, and other factors I don't know of.
