Default 2007 Transmission jerk

Ive got a 2007 Supercrew 5.4 King Ranch with 101000 miles on it. Just bought it so not sure of the maintenance history. Every once and a while when I hit somewhat of an incline going abt 40-50 mph the transmission feels like it gives one good jerk as if it's slipping and then it's fine. Any ideas on what this is? Thanks!

I have a 2010 SuperCrew XLT that I have been dealing with the same problems. The computer has been reset to default setting and it went away for about 400 kms. It's now back and today they are dropping the transmission pan to check out the condition of the solenoid that operate during the speeds with the issues. This was Fords technical engineering advisors advise as we have been dealing with this for some time. I'll keep you posted to let you know the results.

Had the same issue. I replaced the spark plugs and the issue went away.

More than likely a mis-fire your feeling...with over 100K and no maintenance history I would change the plugs...

They have replaced the complete Mechatronics Assembly within my transmission. It contains the solenoid valve pack from my understanding that is controlled by the computer. So they said it was shifting from 4 to 6 either having trouble with 5th or missing it completely. It seems to be working well now. Let's hope it's been cured.

Any updates on this? I just recently picked up a 2007 with 125K miles on it, does the exact same thing. Took it to a local Ford dealer, they didn't find any issue with plugs or coil packs, not codes of any sort. Reflashed the TCM, as they said it could be due to different driving styles/conditions. But it's still doing it.
