Just bought the truck saturday. 01 f150 4wd ext. Cab. They said the motor Trans an Both axles were replaced with 92k miles on it. Body on the truck has 200k. The odometer says the 92k. Well it was back firing when I bought it. Also had a bearing squealing. That night it read no oil on the dipstick an the oil gauge kept bouncing from normal to low. We put oil in it. Then it read oil yet kept bouncing. The next day we cranked it up. Startin smoking out the tail pipes. (Maybe because it was cold) and it had a slight knock as well. We turned it off. Then we looked and there was metal flakes on the oil filter and on the dipstick. We believe I need a new motor. But I'm having it looked at this week. If anyone has any knowledge on this please help.
