I have a 2014 F150 with a 5.0 engine. Which oil blend or full synthetic?

Fords synthetic blend is good I just switched to royal purple and I'm having good results with it and it seems to run a lil better but of course that's my "opinion"

The Motorcraft 5w20 blend is generally regarded as a top-notch oil. I would still be using it if I couldn't get the so-called "synthetics" such as QSUD cheaper on sale. Although with Costco prices I may end up going to M1.

That said, its hard to go wrong with a brand name oil with the API-SN rating these days.

I've had good luck running Motorcraft synthetic blend 5W20 in my '05 with the 5.4L. It just turned 127K miles. I would recommend any API certified oil, just make sure and use 5W20, which is recommended for the 5.0L.

Don't waste your money on Royal Purple marketing garbage. Any accredited oil with a good reputation will work without spending money on purple dye. Go to http://www.bobistheoilguy.com and look at the Royal Purple data sheets and compare it with other oils for yourself. Personally I like Castrol 5w-30. Ford only recommends 5w-20 because of a miniscule mileage gain they can advertise to the owners of fleet trucks.

I've been on bitog for years lol although I had to make a new account damn passwords lol and I got all of my rp for pennies on the dollar when walmart discontinued the sale of 0w20 wayyyy cheaper than any other brand so not a big deal to me I use everything in my truck im not picky but compared to others the rp has above average uoa's for my truck
