Default New Coil lasted 51 weeks on 2006 F150 4.2L

This thread has been very informative. Thank you. The same stuttering, raggedy running has commenced again since replacing my coil pack 51 weeks ago. I am interested in the observations that the wires may have something to do with it. Should I replace the wires first ( 60k on original set ) before replacing the coil again? Reason I ask is I don't want the coil to hurt the new wires if that is possible. I did look at the wire ends where they insert into the coil pack and they are uniform in color. After rereading the post, I see that the discoloration was actually noticed inside the coil terminal. I might need to remove the coil pack in order to see down inside the connection tube. It's late and tomorrow will be a good day to check that. Also, do the autolite wires have to be purchased at a Ford dealer or can they be bought at a auto parts store? thanks
