How do I change the cam sensor on a 2002 F-150 with a 4.2 L v-6
I went to AutoZone and had my truck checked out for a problem and it showed faulty cam sensor and running lean , any help out there ?

To be perfectly honest, a faulty cam sensor and running lean? I guess it could be, what are the codes thrown? The 4.2 engines had a problem with running lean, doubt that Autozone could sell the correct repair parts.

the cam sensor is a easy change its just in a tight location
1 drain the coolant
2 remove 8 mil bolt that hold pipe on top of water pump (you have to pull up on that pipe to have enough room to take sensor out)
3 remove 2 5.5 mil bolts from sensor
4put new sensor in but back together add coolant
