I'm new the world of V-6 trucks and I'm looking at putting a CAI on my 2006 4.2. The question I have is will the 4.6 airaid work on the 4.2, the reason I'm asking is the 4.2 only comes with the air box. The 4.6 kit comes with the piping from the box to the TB. Both kits use the factory stock MAF housing and just looking at the instruction sheet on the website it looks like it will work. If both kits didn't use the factory MAF housing I wouldn't even ask.

It's cheaper to make your own! I did and it works great!!

 

Do the GOTTS mod. Search the forum for details. Little or no cost to do.
