Blown Head gasket
So, The last few weeks my F150 4.2L V6 truck been running weird and blowing out white smoke, I took my truck in to see wtf is wrong with and they said I have a blown head gasket and I have water in my engine already. they suggest I get a new engine. I told my dad and he I should just replace my head gasket.... what would yall do.

If coolant has mixed with the oil, and it has been driven like that, get a new engine. Once the coolant mixes with the oil, it washes down the bearings very quickly, and in a few thousand miles after doing the head gaskets, you will have a rod knock. Get a good used engine, and it may not be a bad idea to replace the head gaskets on it while the engine is out of the truck. If you do replace the gaskets though, make sure to get the heads resurfaced properly for MLS gaskets, and get some ARP head studs, then you'll never have to worry about blowing head gaskets again.
