First!
Someone had to go first. Love my 3.7, over 17 MPG average in mostly city driving. Plenty of power for me, anyways. 2012 SCAB 3.73 LSD 4X4, ~6700 miles since May.
One thing I've noticed is a bit of a shudder, felt by my left arm on the door ledge, when stopped at a light. Mind you, this is a very slight shudder, and if I back my foot off the brake it usually subsides. No other complaints.

What its only 6 cylinders
When I test drove the vehicle I thought it had a V8 in it. I mean I really did. The salesman didnt tell me what motor (and I didnt think to ask) until after the test drive. Wow, and 19mpg around town....ok sometimes 17-18 depending on conditions.
I can only think of one negative about the engine and that is you have to remove the intake manifold to change spark plugs on the right side. Good thing they are supposd to last 100K
I had a '94 F150 XL inline 6. It was a 4.9 liter and had nowhere near the power of this 3.7. I am impressed.

I knew this motor was smooth
and very quiet. It has taken me a month to get used to how silent it is running at stops. Ok, so today I did something dumb. I get out of the truck with the engine running(I put it in park of course) to help the rental guy hook up a cement mixer. When I get back in Its all quiet and the radio is doing something strange, its between songs, so its quiet too......so I reach for the key and turn it to start and nothing happens. I mean nothing.........Im thinking oh crap now what. So I do what anyone would do....turn it completely off remove the key and start over.........Thats when the engine stopped and I realized my mistake.......I admit I just wasnt paying attention.
But, I did learn you dont grind the starter gears when you try to start it when running (not recommended)

Like the truck but the 3.7 is a dog. Live in Tennessee, getting up some mountains is a real pain. Trans downshifts all the time looking for torque of which there isn't much. Never again will buy a V6 in a truck.

Fortunately for the reputation of this motor, you seem to be in the minority.

I got a 2011 and it does the same shudder thing at stop lights sometimes my rpm gauge will jump around a little bit not much though. mine does pretty good on mountains if you hit it doin 70 it goes right up them. if I was towing I would definitely want a v-8. I got the short bed reg cab though no extra cab
