Default Changing Plugs?

I got a new '14 F-150 with the 3.7l. No plug change needed, but was looking at the engine and wondering if the manifold had to be removed to get to the right bank plugs? Not seeing any other way. Anybody know about this ? I am going to order a service manual soon.
Thanks

Yes you remove the top, it has reusable seal. About 30 minutes or so. Wear gloves. Believe Blue Loctite going back together is OK.

Nooooo, say it ain't so! I was thinking seriously about making the 3.7 or new 3.5 V6 my next engine mainly for ease of DIM (do it meself) maintenance! Oh me, I'm sunk boys, don't stand a chance.

Yep, it's so. Looks like a big pain in the azzzz to get that manifold top off...one will need a boom and a bucket to get up in there to do it. Wonder what the shop guys use to access this thing????????

This is much easier to do than it looks but some precautions are needed. I suggest you look at the video on you Utube on changing the plugs in a Lincoln mks 3.7 as it is the same engine and is very informative telling you what to do step by step. There is a torque sequence and the gasket seal can be reused with a light coat of vaseline. they do not recommend the use of any locktite or other sealants on the bolts as they use brass inserts in plastic body of intake. when you do the tuneup it is a perfect time too clean the throttle body as gunk (varnish) gets under the throttle plate(butterfly) and MAF sensor. both take special cleaners. CRC makes a 2 can kit for this that is about $7.00 at Walmart. if you use the wrong cleaners you can do serious damage to one or both parts( I know I melted down a cell phone) lol. I used a small amount of anti-sese on threads but that's up to you. PS there is also a good video on Utube for cleaning the throttle body on your F150. don't forget the toothbrush.

Just climb up on front and change them. It isn't that hard... took about 2-hours from start to finish. The hardest part is a couple of the vacuum lines and that rear 8mm bolt on the manifold.
