guess maybe he doesn't know why the coolant is low.

If it makes you feel any better my bran new engine that just has 1k miles on it is making a weird thumping/knocking sound, back to the dealership once again, this will be around 5 times the truck has been in for warranty work in the past two years, the most recent being engine and turbos replaced.

@sirikenewtron - I'm sorry to hear about your troubled engine. It's frustrating to have automotive problems and not get resolution with them. Hope your's gets resolved! I seem to have mine taken care of. I know how reliable Ford trucks can be and I'm hoping that mine will be one of those.

Sounds like the Tensioner belt pulley went bad ( bearing failed ) Happens all the time on ANY make or model car/truck.

The frozen pulley started letting the belt rip, slip and wear quickly. The belt runs all kinds of stuff depending on your car/ truck. Things like.... The water pump, ac, power steering, fan , alternator and so on.

The first thing you should do when getting warnings on the dash for things like charging, battery, temp, and so on, is open the hood and check the belts !

One of your warnings on the dash was " engine coolant over temperature " The engine over heated because the pulley/belt failed.
When the engine over heated the coolant boiled over and thats why your coolant level was low.
Next time you get multiple warnings on the dash...stop, park and call for a tow.

The short 3 mile trip probably did no damage but if you continued to drive much longer serious damage could have occurred.

I think the water pump is driven by the timing chain on the 3.5 EB when the pump leaks it leaks into the crankcase big job to replace front cover needs removed only a $3000 job that's why I bought a 2.7

Quick update on the truck. Drove it from Seattle to Utah and back to Seattle a couple weeks ago. No problems popped up. For the moment now I'm a happy F150 owner.
