no chain yanking. its a 2012 ex-cab , xl. was driving on a secondary rd, @ 60 mph., w/ 15000 on the milage. i heard a loud pop, it wouldnt accelerate, started shimmering and vibrating alternatly , would start and then stop the vibration. i pulled over, oil , brown liquid and water was pouring from the area of possibly the rear main seal area. iv heard they have had trouble the injectors, so maybe this was the cause, flooding the cylinder, gas of cours doesnt compress , so it could have burned out a cylinder , thus cascading the rest. waiting to hear from ford !!! p.s, idont knw what trolling is , and iv changed the oil 2 times with synthetic 5w30, in 15000 mils

Default TSB update

Brought my 2011 ecoboost into dealer for the deflector plate because of the power loss issues and I had a huge backfire on the highway. They just updated the tsb to include not only the deflector for inter cooler but also the intake tubes for inter cooler. What really sucks is they give me a Chevy Cruz for a week while they wait for Ford to build the parts. I wish I would have just got the Raptor that I wanted originally. Me being cheap now having all sorts of issues. Ford needs to own up maybe they should not sell the ecoboost in the hotter humid climates if they are going to have so many issues. Anybody else hear about or experience any backfire?
