Hi all, new here and have read a lot on here but don't see anything with the issue I'm having. Last week while on a few hour trip going up a long grade my truck started making a very weird noise under moderate to heavy boost. It sounds like a garbelde rush of air and the power seems to surge ever so slightly when making the noise. I've gone over all the connections and vacuum hoses, waste gates both seem to be operating correctly using vacuum and air pressure. I have no smoke from the exhaust so I have a hard time believing it's a bearing in the turbo as with past turbo charged engines I've had once a bearing goes out so does the seals and you start getting heavy smoke from the exhaust?

Has anyone run into this or have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

More info. Year of truck. 2.7 or 3.5? Miles? Tuned? Buy new or used?

Hello all sorry I haven't updated anyone but figured it out. It was a leaking exhaust manifold on the driver side (rear cylinder). After some research I come to find out this is becoming a somewhat common issue on these as they get up there in mileage.
