EcoBoost Turbo Info needed
im not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not.. can someone explain to me how the turbos work on the ecoboost?? i traced the exhaust system on a friends truck and i dont see no twin turbo. he argued with me that there is twin turbos on his exhaust but i didnt see none. so i guess it is on the intake side. if so then where is it located to and how does it work. i thought turbo was exhaust and supercharger was intake.. sorry for the stupid question i tried researching but not really answering my question

If you search this 3.5L EcoBoost on Google you'll find plenty of pictures of this engine.

so i searched engine pics and u can easily see a turbo.. my buddies truck got ecoboost on a sticker on the doors but i know for a fact there is no turbos on the exhaust. i say someone changed out the motor or something. i am a marine engineer i know a turbo when i see one and ive overhauled enough of them.. i traced his exuast and after his headers its just pipe and a resistor or cat whatever it is but there is no turbo.. his intake pipe goes straight down in his driver forward bumper. no turbo to be seen.. his truck is second hand im thinking someone swamped the motor.. he told me he lost 3 rear ends since he had the truck . something is not clear here. i am at work now on a ship and when i get home i gotta look at that engine more closley maybe its the 5.0L

so i finally got a third look at me buddy's ecoboost theres no turbo and no intercooler and it is a v6. i got a few pics im not sure if they will upload or not. u can easily see the manifold and there is no turbo there. looks to me that someone removed the turbo and converted this engine to naturally aspirated.
