Default Ecoboost reviews?

I'm looking to get an ecoboost and what do you guys think? How long can they last if maintained. I would also think about leveling or lifting to get 35's on it.

Do a search. There are hundreds of threads with information on the EcoBoost.

I love mine.

I have owned my Eco for about 2 months. I traded in my 04 Screw 5.4 and am not looking back. Absolutely love the truck. Just took a 2 hour trip to Detroit on the expressway running 75 and averaged 19.5 for the trip. At least that's what the cluster told me. I didn't check it with math. I only have 2,300 miles on it so hopefully the mileage will get even better. The Power is awesome, They are quiet and have a awesome ride. I don't think you would be disappointed. I know I am not. I just hope it lasts.

The cluster is lying to you, unless you had one hell of a tail-wind. My highway mileage varies greatly, depending on speed and wind direction.

this has been beaten to death, but believe or not, most owners find that the digital mpg reading is actually fairly accurate (+/- .1 or .2 mpg), and even crazier, 19mpg is doable in an EB!

yes, wind does affect mileage, but that doesnt mean 19 is impossible either.

I've had mine for a year and a half now. Great truck, I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
Before this truck I've owned a long string of Ford diesels. Great pullers.
That said, lots of things affect mileage. Tire size, axle ratio, throttle response, rpm and boost. I've always found turbo engines have a certain spot that they like to operate at. With mine it seems on the highway my best mileage and power are achieved when the engine rpm is at about 1900 to 1950 rpm. With my axle ratio of 3.73 my speed will be around 115 to 118 kph. That's around 70 mph give or take. If I'm not pulling anything, I can get 24.5 mpg at that speed. Convert it to US gallons and it is 19.5 mpg.
I like the instrument cluster that comes with sync but I would like to see gauges for boost and exhaust temp at the turbo outlet offered for towing.

I have a 2011 Ecoboost with 120,000 miles on it and it is running just like new. I tow a 25' travel trailer a lot and best towing rig so far. I change my oil every 5,000 miles, I like to do more often then they say too.

I just traded my 2011 EB Screw, max tow, Lariat 4X4 with 85k miles for a 2014. I also ran a Lincoln MKT EB for 83k miles. I traded that for a really fast Audi SQ5. It's a lot of fun, but nothing compares to the low end torque of the 3.5. In our business, and travels, we run these trucks pretty hard. I had the cac issues with the truck for a while, but ford fixed it, and from what I've seen and heard, these problems have been fixed for good.
Before I lifted my truck, it got 20 mpg on the hwy. Afterwards, it was 16.5 city and 18.5 hwy. I will buy 3.5 EBs for as long as they make them. I've owned over 40 vehicles and a 3.5 EB is a solid motor.
