Hardlymoving

Just what is the Mechanic Bucket that sits between the camshaft and top of the valve stem/valve spring assembly, and how does it function to provide the proper valve lash clearance? Does it function like a hydraulic valve lifter? Is it a solid lifter? I am wondering just how valve lash is maintained without any other provision for adjustment.

Typically, shims of various thicknesses are placed inside the buckets to adjust valve clearances. I would assume this applies to the EB.
