the whoosh sound when yuou let off the gas is the waste gate opening and letting off the unneeded air pressure that the turbos were trying to pack in to the engine, this is normal. you will hear it more when you are puling hard. as fpor the late of power that needs to be checked out. turbos are the way to go when pulling heavy loads at high alitude. I tow over the rockies and have gone over most of the passes with no lack of power, so get her checked out lack of power isn't normal Low or High alitude. good luck

We passed a couple of Honda 110 mopeds and barely made it around them. Now when back down to low elevation it seems to have lots of power. I didn't think elevation affected the ecoboost like that. I thought I had a bad intercooler or something when in the higher elevation but it seems fine now and no longer hear the turbo whistle when letting off the gas. Has anyone else noticed this?
What octane gas you run?

The highest I could find when visiting my daughter in Golden Colorado was 95 octane. My Harley Davidson Ultra Classic didn't like it at all.
