Default 3.5 Eco boost regret?

Anyone out there regretting buying a new or used super crew with the ecoboost? Interested in hearing why you're for or against it. Thanks

Traded a low mile 5.4L 2006 FX4 for this 2013 EB. I don't regret a thing. In fact we are half way through our vacation where we left VA loaded down and drove up to Maine. 70mph average with some good romps while passing. 18.9mpg VA to NJ and 19.8mpg NJ to ME hand calculated via Fuelly.com. Cannot complain about this engine at all! I'd do it again if I had to. Power and torque for days while being whisper quiet.

Default Excellent vehicle

Bought mind Aug 2011, it now has 36,500 miles, and love it everyday. Lots of power and rides good. Had to take it in for the moonroof, got off track and they replaced the frame work / moving parts. I'd buy another one in a second.

Bought my 2012 almost two years ago. I will turn 56,000 miles this week and have no regrets at all. Lots of off road use and some towing and it excels at both as well as the 500 or so highway miles I put on it weekly. I have never had a half ton pickup with this much power and the cabin is very comfortable to boot. I would not hesitate to buy another ecoboost, in fact my wife might end up with a Taurus SHO ecoboost this year sometime.

I'm glad someone asked this question as I was also wondering. I almost bought a eco boost fx4 but the thought of a v6 scared me away. I definitely think this will be my next one.

I have a late 2012 model. If I had to replace it tomorrow, I would definitely look at the V8. If for nothing else, just to see if the throttle response is better. I'm guessing it will be just as lazy due to all of the government mandated electronic "nannies". Every time I hear "throttle-by-wire", I grit my teeth. Maybe there is a programmer that will make response instantaneous, but which one? The Edge EVO HT didn't do anything for it.
My next truck may be a custom build of an older F150.

I've got 18K miles on my 2012 that I bought new and love it. Mine is a Scab. I haven't had an issue to date. Love the power. A lot of people complain about not getting the advertised mpg's but I get 21-22 on the highway consistently. I'd buy another as well.
