No codes, but a definite seat of the pants bucking. Going to get a new set of plugs(only 9800 on these), gap them to .030 and see what happens. If it clears up, great, if not, return to stock and see if I can detect it. Since I had a #5 misfire a while back, it is possible #5 coil is weak.

Other than this, it really is a strong pulling motor, and a tune really improves upon it. It's my 5th 3.5 Ecoboost vehicle, and the other 4 were very good runners, but this one with the tune beats them all.
Since running the 91 tune you may even want to gap them to .029ish, just a thought

Thats about where I got them. Not too keen on the brown gunk at the base of the insulator and hex, wonder what that is, and why. The plugs themselves were clean and were at .038. Hoping this is all it takes to get the little bit of bucking under load resolved. Changed oil to Mobil 1 and rotated tires while at it.

Sometimes, but just for a second, maybe I would more if I planned on keeping the truck for over 100k miles, but maybe not.
The problem now is I don't think I could go to a 5.0 after being use to all the low end torque of the ecoboost

Thats what I thought too and it took a few weeks but I'm happy I went with the 5.0 when i traded-in my 2011 Ecoboost. My 2015 does shift more than the 2011 but I'm at 18.5 mpg on regular while I was only averaging about 16 on 89 octane with the Ecoboost. You can't beat the sound the V-8 makes when you stand on it too - I think Ford hit it perfectly with the muffler on this truck - not loud when just cruising but when you stand on it you definitely know you got a V-8 under the hood. I find I drive a little slower with the V-8 since the torque curve is higher in the RPM range - that is probably a good thing since I was always at 70-80 mpg with the Ecoboost.

Since you drive a little slower the mileage comparison is moot. Beyond that I miss the sound of my Hemi, but like my new Ecoboost.
I have an Indian MC for sound.

Absolutely love my new 2015 4x4 3.5 eco. Only have 1,000 miles but I have had all brands at one time. Traded in my silverado that had the rods replaced twice before it had 80,000 miles on the engine. Father-in-law has a 2013 ecoboost with 75,000 miles. He was a chevy convert and says he will never go back, best truck he has ever owned.

I don't think the milage is moot because 80 vs 75 isn't going to make that much of a difference and that's only on the Turnpike - most of my drive is 55-65 and that hasn't changed. It's still early but my mileage with the 5.0 seams much more consistent vs my 3.5 Eco - the 3.5 was very touchy with where I had the throttle whereas the 5.0 doesn't seem to care. Sure I could get 21 with the 3.5 on a trip but as soon as I drove my usual mix of country roads to work down went the mileage to 16. My 5.0 is a consistent 18-19 all the time and this is what others have said here too. I have a Mustang GT for sound too.

I have the same exact experience....5.0 vs 3.5.
Seems the EB doesn't like to change speeds or stop and go, but once you hit the sweet spot it shines.
Most of my travel is in town and heavy traffic so mileage is dismal. The 5.0 didn't care much what I did.

heavy right foot equals boost on the 3.5EB. So yes the 3.5 does have a very sensitive throttle compared to the 5.0 and that is all due to the turbos. You can learn how to drive the 3.5 and keep the engine out of boost and you will see a 2-3mpg improvement in mileage. I have just about the heaviest truck configuration made 2014 SCREW FX4 max tow 6.5' 3.73 gears and I can still squeak out 18 in the city if I am conscious about the right foot. It is totally different than driving a naturally aspirated engine to say the least.

You might as well embrace it now because this is the trend going forward. In the next 5 years or so, if you want a V8 in your truck it will be a 3/4 ton!
