I was having issues with mileage. It was good when I bought it but it got worse over a couple years. Like from 14l/100km to 17l/100km.

I checked all the hose clamps on the turbo charge pipes and they were all oily and loose. Drivers side turbo and intercooler covered in oil where the hose clamps are. Tightened those and it's back to where it was.

Powerfish, I am having the same problems with mileage; I have been getting 13, 14, 15 around these hills I live in and going into the little towns around here. Mine: 4X4, 3.31 gears. I don't take it easy, but I don't hot rod with mine at all. I am going to change the spark plugs, and I will be very interested to see what they look like. I would like to be getting better fuel mileage with mine. I like it otherwise.

I do not regret my decision on the EB, but I would say if you are looking @ the EB for fuel economy then get the V8. Comparing the mileage of my brothers V8 F150 to my EB the difference is negligible @ best. Yes I have achieved an average of 23mpg on the highway, but that was cruise control in the slow lane and very painful.

No regret on my 2011 ecoboost, I bought it with 30,000 miles, changed plugs right after I bought it, all I do is run 93 octane, I have 80,000 miles now and I just put solo down pipes and tuned it and still runs like a champ, I have never had the any issues with my ecoboost and never has been to the dealer since I have own it, and if I drive it right I can get get pretty good mileage, but most of time i can`t keep my foot out of it

Exclamation

Hope I made the right decision. So far, I'm loving this ECOBOOST and the 4.10 gears in a regular cab!

This is my second EB. I had an '11 that I got on October 2011. Great truck once all the CAC issues were sorted out.

I ran the Torque app on my 14 today. Max boost under full throttle was 12 psi. My 11 would max out at about 16 psi. Has anyone who has had both noted this with their apps?

Be vigilant over there. Keep your head on a swivel.

Default Eco Boost Regrets

This is my first truck period. I bought a 2012 F150 Fx4 with eco boost and after three weeks I love my truck. Never had any vehicle with so much power and torque. The get up and go is incredible.
One thing for certain it will blow the doors off a Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi in it.
