They weren't too bad but I wanted the newer spec'd plugs.

That's wack,...better take her to the dealer and make sure you document the fuel mileage. Gas receipts and screen shot of the average mpg read out. I get up to 17mpg in town with 3:73 gears and 4x4. Somethings a miss.

Too many things to consider:
- Mods
- Tire size
- Tire pressure
- Driving speed and style
- Terrain and elevation
- How much weight in truck
- How you are calculating the MPG
If all of the above is normal, there is something wrong.
The EB is very economical when driven with a light foot. This is not to say you cannot go over the speed limit or have to drive with an egg under your foot.

Yes, regrets. If I had it to do over again, I would not get an Ecoboost again. Dealership did the MPG test today 15.9, SUCKS! Oh but sir, we got 20+ on the way back with a tailwind going downhill and that's within spec. So No, would not do an EcoBoost again, and probably will be my last Ford, which sucks because I'm a Ford guy, just can't stand the quality of my 2014 FX4 SCREW. I average 14.3mpg and the dealer says there is nothing they can do about it. 16k miles now and never, not one time has it ever averaged over 15.X MPG, ever...

Doesn't help you much, and I don't want to start the debate over fuel mileage because theirs other threads for that.Maybe 18's do better on fuel. My 14 XLT 4x4 Boost has been getting 16.7-17mpg's on summer blend 87 pump. A little less on winter blend. I came from a Titan....I'm thrilled! Maybe the 20's are the culprit?

My lifetime average is right at 15 and I'm pretty happy with that. It's been lifted 6" and riding on 35x12.5's it's whole life. That's including quite a bit of hunting and off road time and some towing.

The best thing is that it gets almost the same mileage towing our stock trailer with my kiddo's show lambs and goats. Towing is my favorite thing about the ecoboost. It does it and does it well. I tested a 5.0 Tonka truck and towed a trailer with it in a parade. I am soooo glad I didn't get an F150 with that engine.

Almost 59000 miles so far in just over two years.
