Default 2014 blown engine - only 64k miles

Getting on the freeway last night, and the engine gave out. 100% stock and all service performed regularly. It's sitting at the dealer now, so we will see what the outcome will be tomorrow. I had the acceleration hiccups over the last 6 months and now this.

By blown engine do mean engine came apart, seized up or just quit running? Will it turn over with starter or is the electrical system dead? could be major destruction or simply a loose batt, cable.

With your truck being so new and all the maintenance done at ford I am confident ford will do the right thing. Please keep us in the loop.

^ your "confidence" has a very low threshold (if that makes sense)... while it would be the right thing to do for any business, I would not be "confident" that either Ford or the dealer would offer a repair under "warranty" right off the bat... after some arguing, maybe...

The next gen of the 3.5 ecoboost is being introduced next year 17. They know the issues, and yours has exhibited a few many have complained of. They have hidden warrentys that go beyond the 60k if the issue is a known issue. I will stand by my statement. However your dealer will have to actually call ford for approval not just look at the 64k and say no. So there is a chance you'll have to argue with the dealer to at least get them to try. I am assuming yours blew due to the timing chain.
