OK so I work with a guy his dad sells Fords. He tells me that the 2011 Eco's were more powerful than the new ones. His dad told him the intercooler condensation fix is what caused this.
Someone please enlighten me as I recently purchased a 2013 eco.

The 2013 model year began putting baffles in the CAC reducing the efficiency of the intercooler. Not sure how much this reduced power.

I had an 11 and now own a 13. I think the 13 is better than the 11.

That's just my seat of the pants conclusion.

Well the cooler you can make the air entering the engine the more power it cam make. that being said I don't think you would be able to tell by just driving. I have gone over the rockies where the pass was over 10,000' so that means I loose 30% of my horse power 3% per 1000' for sea level truck, and I still have lots of power if needed with tall 3;31 gears. So the little you might loose due to the baffles I don't think the average person would notice so I wouldn't worry about it.

The 13's have bigger turbos to compensate for the inter-cooler. So at best it's a wash...

Is there a big different between old eco and the 14 eco. Just thinking to trade my 5.0 with an Eco
