Default Wiring cab lights

I'm gettin cab lights today, and I'm just wondering what wire I have to splice them to so that they go on with the corner and bumper lights?

Or is it better just to wire them all to a toggle switch?

it is behind the pass kick panel, near the inertia switch.

here are the factory mounting measurements.

they are 1 5/8" back from the body line above windshield (not windshield moulding) of course middle one is centered, others are 12" on center from each other which leaves about 6" from the center of the outer ones to the outside edge of the gutter.

is the plug at the very top the one you are refering to? the wire is purple with a white tracer:

if so, would i just cut the plug off, ground the black wire to somewhere (lights are self grounding) and run power to the purple&white wire?

also, i want to make sure that when i turn the truck on, no lights are on at all (disconected my daytimes). if i wire it this way, will the lights stay off until i turn my corners and bumpers on (first pul on the main light switch)?

i was initially thinking it would be best to splice them into the main headlight switch, so they would light up on the first pull of the switch:

the brown wire on the connector is part of the main switch.

its the top right diagram in the picture, and the cab lights are at the bottom left of that diagram.

Is the connector wired into every F-Series truck of this era? I'm not at my truck right now, but would love to know if I have it.
