Default Wiper switch

Anyone have thoughts on aftermarket turn signal/wiper switch? My intermittent wiper setting is erratic although works fine in constant on mode and signals work fine. Hear a funny noise when switching wiper on from right side of dash. Thought of just replacing switch as it also has the emergency flasher button which is all gummed up with junk as well. Ford oem quite a bit more $ so looking at alternatives. Thanks

Aftermarket works just fine in this scenario. There's only a small handful of parts where it's OEM or nothing.

Default when off

Do you have any issues when your wipers are turned off? I have a 2013 f- 150, when I turn mine off, they still run on intermitt until I go to fast speed and then turn switch to off again and there off. My settings is turn off for curtesy wipes, It is a pain in da- A#$!!

Ford parts are more money, but look how long the first one lasted. That may be why they charge more.

No issues when off for me. I just need to turn to fast intermittent to get them going then back it down, normal on works fine. Weird sound from dash when turning on though or off. Things may not rust here in Arizona but the heat sure takes it toll on things in other ways. Truck in california now so I can't even order part yet til I get back to it

That clicking in the dash is, I believe, a wiper control module. I'll take heat problems over rust any day.
