Question wiper fluid not coming out

about a week ago, my windshield wiper fluid stopped squirting out. There is plenty of fluid and I topped it off again to make sure that wasn't the problem.

I can hear a clicking noise on the right side that sounds like the pump trying to engage, but nothing happens, just wipers turning on a dry and dirty windshield.

Any ideas where to start?

Thanks

Had the same thing happen to me a couple of years ago. Turned out it was build up in the nozzle heads near the windshield.

Start at the reservoir. See if the pump on the bottom is pushing washer fluid with the line to the squirters disconnected. If so, check the line for clogs. If not, maybe a new pump.

Thanks for the ideas. Off work tomorrow with the wife. Hopefully I don't get sprayed in the face. Thats exactly something my wife would do too. I'll let you know how it goes

the 91 tune is from an after market "performance" chip. it was installed when I bought the truck.

mine had the same problem, nozzles get clogged...you have to pull off that grate that runs along the bottom of the windshield..I think all the screws that hold it on are located along the firewall...once off, pull the hoses off of the nozzles, and hit the switch, if fluid comes out, just replace the nozzles...try to get the closest to the original, I bought a pair from advanced auto and they suck(don't squirt high enough at highest adjustment)...goood luck

you could soak the nozzle in CLR or lime-a-way

Ya mine went out to the other day and i checked to see if it was the nozzle it its not it was the pumped which i found to be located in the bottom of the resivour and it was bad. I made sure there was power going to it and there was but when i pulled the pump out it was rusty as ***.... so ya try that

Easy fix...get your WD-40, hold the spray tube right into the sprayer nozzle and give them a squirt!
