Default window crank

I'm in the process of changing my driver door mirror but i cant figure out how to take the darn window crank off.i know its a torque screw back there but how do i get to it.Do i just viciously pry at the handle or is there a more civilized way of doing this..haynes book says nothing.

Cause it's only a book. If it does start talking, double up on your Meds!<-JOKE! Proceed with prejudice, it just pops on & off (the cover concealing the screw).

you do just pry it off, but dont force it. It helps to take 2 screwdrivers and put them under JUST THE COVER. If you put the screwdriver under both the cover and the handle itself you're going to crack it. Once the cover comes loose you can swing it around and unbolt the handle. Easy peasy

Hey, just wanted to say I got it done after two weeks of failed attempts and assumptions lol. Thanks again guys,this site is quickly surpassing it's weight in gold to me.
