Default Whiter Whites, Brighter Brights? Anybody done this mod?

Preparing to do this mod, just need to get a decent set of headlight assemblies first. Would be awesome to have someone who's done it to bounce some questions off of as they present themselves. http://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/...ghter-brights/

I actually already had something like this in mind, and I had collected a few parts to get it started, and now I have come across this. It will make visualizing much easier when I am working on it. Is that article specific to the 9th Gen. trucks? Also, what kind of questions do you have? I can help with anything like wiring, placement, and other stuff unless you are wanting result feedback... I'm not going to have that until I do it obviously. :3

Well I don't have any questions yet but I'm sure I'll have some eventually. I also have decided to buy a second stock under hood fuse/relay box for a cleaner more stock look, which should give me plenty of relays and fuses for high beams, low beams, fogs and eventually an e-fan. I've been planing to ditch my smog pump which should provide a good location for the second fuse box. Also in addition to the manual switch for turning on the low beams when the high beams are on and a switch to flash the high Beams When The Headlights Are Off I'd also like a manual switch for turning the fogs on when I have both high and low beams on as they will be wired to turn off when the high beams are on without the low beams.

Sounds pretty straight forward to me. not 100% sure on why ford does that considering they could have easily done the same, possibly more ware on the headlights? I never had any issues with my headlights at all I don't cheep out when it comes to visual aids.

Have not done it on my '95. I did it on my '94 and it does work. Also have done it on 2 at ATV'S to upgrade from 35w to 55w bulbs.

So I bought a couple of things I needed for this project as well as some things for a couple future projects.
New headlight assemblies and a Ford Ranger under hood fuse box.

I did this on my jeep...eautoworks.com had a relay style harness for $18. Way cheaper and easier than wiring it yourself. Made a huge difference, and I didn't even change the bulbs. Need to get around to doing this mod on my 150.

I was wondering what the difference is in doing this Headlight upgrade the way the 'How To' Article says,as opposed to putting on the Heavy Duty Headlight Harness that LMC Trucks has?
