Got the block and piston back.
Honing looks great. Got the old pistons back also not sure what I need them for but might sell them. Not sure if anybody would want them. LOL
Going to order either Clevite or Sealed power (recommended by machine shop) main and rod bearings soon. Might order the freeze plugs with that order also not sure yet (brass plugs again recommended by machine shop).

Also picked up a set of used in great shape motor mounts since I can't use them on the mustang.

Ordered timing chain (w/gears), mains and rod bearings, timing cover gaskets, rear main seal, valve springs, valve stem seals, and lifters. Might be missing a thing or two but all for my 88 F150. Next month camshaft and freeze plugs. Getting closer and closer to getting her back together. T-chain, valve springs, steam seals, and lifters all Comp, bearings Sealed Power, and gaskets all Fel-Pro.

With all that I will be able to get the heads together.

List of parts still needed after these are received:
transmission mount
valve cover gaskets
intake gaskets
pcv valve
water pump
egr valve gasket
thermostat (180*)
freeze plugs (brass)
camshaft (comp 31-255-5)

belt (for smog pump delete)
oil pressure sender unit
water temp sender unit
vacuum line (rubber hose)

might have missed a thing or two but that is the general list.

Picked up freeze plugs and ordered belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets, and transmission filter.

Also picked up some New Ford Gray paint to paint the engine. Took a while to decide but finally decided I liked it over the other colors I was looking at.
Pulleys will probably be black and not sure yet on valve covers and oil pan.

Picked up a diamond plate tailgate cap at the local swap meet. It is off a chevy but it fits great. It will hide the dents in the tailgate till I can get to the body work stage and fix all them.

Hopefully it will work fine with a soft tonneau cover.

Got the engine completely built and in the truck fired it up and no oil pressure. Found out I left the galley plugs out! Going to pick up gaskets tomorrow to get to work on it Saturday. Also going to order a fuel pump tomorrow. Getting extremely close to being able to drive my baby. Also installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Still got to hook up the light part but otherwise that part is done.

Been extremely busy with a part time job I have (mine as well be full time) but that means I will be able to mod the truck more with the moneys coming in. LOL

Pic is her getting ready for her new engine.

Keep on truckin man. You're doing great. I have a ton of respect for all you have accomplished on your truck.

Thanks man. Just spent half my paycheck today on truck parts. New intake and timing cover gaskets and a brand new fuel pump. Fuel pump is on its way. Tomorrow I start on hopefully getting oil pressure. If I get oil pressure tomorrow then going to test drive her then park her and will pick up trans fluid sunday and Monday will replace trans filter and speedometer gear.

Hopefully everything will go as planned going crazy not being able to drive my baby.

I wish my 91 looked as good as you 88! I live in the rust belt area, so our vehicles get hit hard with road salt when it snows! My cab is the only solid part of the truck other than the frame!
