Mustang EEC swap??
Bare with me guys, as I am tryign to figure the f-150 stuff out....
My truck is a 94 maf 302, with the 4r70w.. Is there any benfit swappign to a mustang computer? I knwo the 4r70w is computer controlled, and the 89-93 maf eec's won't work. But what about a 94-95 computer? I am not looking to make it fast, just wanting little more pep.
Also any one know cam specs for the truck 302? Have been kicking the idea of dropping an exploer motor in and juts use the truck intake?

well....no EEC-IV had a 4R70W, just the AODE...the earlier Stang EECs such as the A9L, worked great with the 5.0 cars, you are better off getting an SCT chip.
As for the Exploder motor, they are about the most sought after due to their lower manifold and heads...but, if you want to do some work and really get some fantabulous EEC control with the 4R70W, you could swap over all of the EEC related stuff and run an EEC-V.

and the only 94 MY Fords with a 4R70W and EEC5 were the thunderbirds and crown vics.
and if he does have a 94 F150 with a 302 and 4R70W, it doesnt have an EEC5, because the Exploder with the 5.0L had an EEC5, while the mustang didnt.

If a 1989-1993 truck has an Overdrive Cancel Switch and a P-R-N-OD-2-1 shifter pattern, then it is equipped with an E4OD transmission. With the possible exception of some 4R70W equipped 1993 E-150 vans with 5.0L SFI engines (The existence of a 1993 4R70W van is unsubstantiated).

Isn't the Aode and 4r70w basically the same trans,, electronicly shifted?? But the 4r70w has the wide ratio plantetary gear set. I know the v-8 mustang didn't the 4r70w until the mod motor era..
