Ok, so i changed the egr line, no probs getting it off Did the seafoam clean-out thing. Truck running way better, no gassy smell and not puffing black exhaust. Code is clear for the egr but the o2 sensor code (173, rich) still coming up. Changed the o2 again and reset the codes, but it comes back (173).
I did a engine on test and came up with a 116 code, engine coolant temp higher or lower than expected... What does this mean???

The ECT is discussed right next to the IAT in the manual. They share the same parameters chart. Yes, the output referance #'s for both are identical. My manual doesn't show a Pic. just explains the purpose & locations. Check out this link, this should help a little: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=28

Problem fixed, fuel pump, regulator, egr tube
Well, it took awhile but i think i have all my problems fixed!!
Thanks to all for the help!! A speacial thank to YMESKI56.
With all the replys i got and reading some of the other posts i was able to find my problems which was tri-fold. My EGR tube was broke (replaced with new one), my check valve in my fuel pump was shot (replaced pump), and my regulator was shot (replaced with new one).
Truck is running way smoother, no more jerky ride and the fuel milage is way better!!!
Again, Thanks everyone.
Does anyone know what kinda of fuel milage these trucks got, or i should get now. 5.8L 1992 f150 4x4 flareside...

Glad I could help. I think your mileage would depend on your vehicle. How much tire your turning. Your compression, drive habits. How much time of each trip is spent in the over rich warmup cycle as opposed to fuel trimmed closed loop function. There a difference between driving for max mileage ("Get the h*ll outa the way or I'll be forced to tap the brakes!", and the "real world." At 85 mph in the diamond lane, with the A/C blaring, tools, luggage & a Harley strapped down to the bed, I get 18+mpg. 302 c.i./auto, w/82K.
