Thumbs up where can i find a good crate motor?

ok just because i have the money i am going to think about doing this so i can keep the truck for years to come. i want to by a crate 302(stock nothing special) and a stock 4r70w. anyone know where i can pick these new items up at and for a good price. and the old drive train will be posted on here for sale. the 302 has 168,000 on it and same with the trans. i know most people would call me crazy but i just want a new old truck.... 50 years from now people will turn there heads at this daily driver and say WOW!!!!!........thanks for the input flairside guy

You can rebuild your 302 for less than a grand, machine work and all. May even have money left over for GT-40 heads or something fun. A good crate motor will be over 1200. Promar sells on Ebay and supplies the advanced auto parts here, great shop, great motors. Jasper I don't trust anymore. I gotten motors from them with loose head bolts, missing oil pan bolts, actually had one show up with no main bearings.

yep Summit or Jegs and you might try the local Ford Dealership....Ford Motor Parts can be pretty reasonable...do a days a 347 can be had for much teh same price...you cant beat it and it works just fine...

opting to rebuild yours is another option...if you have a reputable machine shop to do all the work and you assemble it or find someone who can...

all of my rebuilds are strokers...for me it is the same price to buy a crank, rods and pistons with bearings and rings then it is to have my stuff reman'd...

Eagle makes great kits...

i would just rebuild your old 302 and add some go fast parts while your at it
