Where to buy a Dual Function Reservoir - (Dual Tank Selector valve)
I can not find a direct replacement for the Dual Function Reservoir (Dual tank Selector Valve). I have the part number and search the web, read many, many posts and all to no avail.
Can someone please tell me 100% where to find a direct replacement part? If there is not one now, Could you please recommend one of the electrical driven (3rd party) Valves?
Also if I have to use the non-direct replacement valve can anyone give me what they did to connect the quick disconnect that ford uses to a pump that does not quick disconnect style connectors.
P.S. I have gas going into front tank when I select rear tank. From what I have read this indicates the reservoir is bad. Correct?
Thank you for your help
David

Thanks, also found one at Silver State Ford online listing for 160, as well as found the one on Amazon for 186. Not sure about final cost yet of each with shipping.
I don't think my problem is a weak fuel pump, as I do have a mechanical gauge on the fuel rail that is reading 52psi, except when starved for fuel, suspect by Dual Function Reservoir, as when switching tanks when stalling always returns power within 3 seconds. Also spooling up of fuel pump with key on sounds normal, not oscilating surging or bogging.
Should have realized some of the post had vanished, but that part number was listed on Silver State site and I was able to study manual to get my confidence up identify suspected part malfunction.
Thanks
Todd

OK update, pulled dual fuel reservior (DFR). Fuel lines produced lots of fuel, so no obstruction in lines. Damaged some of the fuel clips removing lines, as they seemed to be cemented to DFR after 24 years in place. Disassembled DFR. Orange Diafram in good shape. Two valves below silver metal disk were extremely stiff. One far more than the other. After pushing on them several times it seemed to loosen them up. Felt like sticky O-rings. Decided to replace DFR, as if the O-rings are deteriorated they will cause the valve to freeze again. Still have not checked in tank pumps for function. Messy with all the gas coming out when pumps powered up. Will check next time under truck.
Looking for fuel pressure gauge 0-10 psi to install in fuel lines prior to DFR, to monitor in tank fuel pumps flow. Wanting to use simple T with gauge installed with barb fittings to splice between cut fuel line.
Keep you posted when I have DFR installed.
