Would not a BIG BIG socket not fit over the outside pentagon shape. Otherwise, maybe it needs to be tapped into place. Is this the old or new and how did you get it off?

It's the old one, it was very loose and I just threaded it off with a pick...
I thought about the mongo socket thing but there is very little clearance between the nut and hub...

Well, I learn something new everyday...
Seems that is the Ford factory nut and NAPA had the socket for $25.00 the application list says 1995 Ford F150 and no others... Boy I feel special..
