Default what is the vacuum line on the throttle body

Hello, I have an 89 f150, On the throttle body there is what appears to be a vacuum line sticking up off of it that is about a 1/4 inch in diameter. There is nothing connected to it, and I don't see where it would go to if there was a hose on it. When the truck is running i don't feel any vacuum, or is it blowing at all. What is it there for, and where is it supposed to go? Thanks a lot.

If it's sticking out the side facing the passenger side, it would probably be for your purge valve, which is supposed to pull fumes from your charcoal canister.
That system is supposed to vent excess fumes from your gas tanks.
Sounds like you may be missing a few pieces.

Might be for coolant. There would be one near the bottom also.
