Default What part is this and how do I fix it?



I accidently broke this the other day and it threw the check engine light on. Didn't scan the codes yet but I believe its part of the EGR system. Its a thin plastic tube with connections on either end. Correct me if I am wrong and any info would be greatly appreciated.

That's the vacuum tube for the EGR valve. Not only won't it open the EGR valve, but when it tries to you will have a vacuum leak.
Just get a new one. In the meantime, just get a 4" piece of rubber hose that fits nice and tight on it, stick both ends in and tape it up good.

Gotcha. Thanks, any idea where I can find the replacement part? I usually use RockAuto but I dont believe they carry that one

It's just a vacuum line. You could probably just trim the 2 ends of the break nice and patch it like I said and call it good. Cut a tiny piece off to compare at the store so you get a nice tight fit.
Most parts stores sell the stuff by the foot.
