Check your evap hose it goes from the top of the tank to the canister. Also do you have cats? If not that could be it right there. I think my front tank evap hose could be bad. Shoulda used a metal coupler to put the two rubber pieces back together when I had cut the rubber one in half
Another thing to look for. Drop the spare, check around the gas tank straps for moisture. It is probably gasoline and a sign of a rusted leaking tank i had one repaired rather than replace. That was where the rubbing of a loose spare to the strap finally wore it to rubbing the tank and eventually rusting a hole in it.

I attempted to fix the glove compartment but found the bottom bracket was broken on one side and the other had a broken pin where the bracket attaches. I cannot find a site where I can purchase the compartment cover.

this may seem like a silly question, but should I put half a can of seafoam in the tank with only 1/4 tank of gas?

Can't see why it would hurt, it would just burn it quicker, does the bottle say anything?

Carino...go to lmctruck.com ( i think ). Then order the free catalog...you will be amazed with what they have. You can get almost any stock item for your truck.
