What did you do to your truck today?
Fixed my turn signals.
My turn signals flash real fast when I have my utility trailer connected. The original flasher works by a piece of metal allowing contact until it heats up and curls away. With the added filaments it heats up too fast which causes the rapid blinking. I replaced the turn signal and hazard flashers with a $6 part: Tridon (Novita Tech. Inc) Long Life Turn Signal Flasher.
For any other noobs that come along: If you have a hard time finding the hazard flasher behind the glove box like I did just turn the hazards on so you can hear it and you'll find it in 3 seconds.

These are the fans I installed: http://ffdynamics.com/products/f15028
The fans seem to work okay, but I went through 2 of their controllers before I gave up and bought a 3rd one at O'Reillys. The fans are 14" and just barely fit. I did increase my mpg by about 2 though.

Lesson learned yesterday while pumping the oil out of the dana 44 pumpkin - if you are going to cheap out and try to use the same cheap bottle pump that you use for filling the rear diff, transfer case, transmission, etc. - make sure the tube that goes into the fill hole is long enough so that if it becomes detached from the pump while pumping, it can't slide all the way into the differential and disappear.
Luckily, I was able to fish it out with my fingers, a pick awl, and a set of needle nose pliers. And a lot of F-bombs. And then a lot of darwin jokes.
But hey, I have new diff oil in my Dana 44. Only fluid that needs to be changed now is the coolant and that's getting done today.
