Used the 4x4 for the first time since I got the truck a few months ago. We got a clipper that caused white outs from lake affect snow. Handled it well, braking is not so good with the light passenger tires that are on it. When they wear out I will be getting a set of dura tracs..

Only cost me $80 to have it straightened. Now its time to do something about my tailgate. It's disgraceful compared to the rest of the truck. It had a load handler on it for about 20 years, so the paint has completely worn away from where the straps were. That and the trim panel has seen better days. Hoping to find a decent one that didn't have trim panel so it doesn't have a bunch of holes in it, then just having the shop fix it up and paint it. But finding a decent one is not easy.
Did you see this one? This is the guy I got my bumper from and the tailgates he had looked decent. I only paid $50 for the bumper, so I bet he'd give you a good price on the tailgate! Good Luck

Yep saw those. Really I want one from an XL or any of the F series models that doesn't have a trim panel. I hate the trim panel, and generally hate most of the chrome/aluminum trim on these trucks. That's why I pulled the fender trim and plasti-dipped the body trim. I'd pull the tailgate panel off but then I would have a bunch of holes in my tailgate hehe.

Thanks for keeping me in mind though!

Ordered a 97 Ford Explorer PCM, Cam Synchronizer Sensor, Coil packs with bracket, a few pigtails, balancer and balancer ring gear. I will be one of the first (that I'm aware of) to replace the distributor system to distributorless on a 96 F150 and to he honest it doesn't seem that hard in fact I'm wondering why Ford didn't do it right out of the factory like they did on the Explorers.

If this works (and works good). New motor build!
